Enviromental Management
Gartner Rose has an environmental management system which meets the
requirements of the NSW Government Environmental Management System Guidelines
November 2008 and has been accredited by the Department of Services, Technology
and Administration.
Gartner Rose develops an appropriate, site-specific EMS for each project, enabling the company to monitor its environmental performance.
It considers such items as:
* Air - What type of emissions will exist?
* Water - How much will be used; can anything be discharged to water courses?
* Land - Does any activity affect the soil, local wildlife or plants?
* Waste - How much material or energy is wasted?
The company has experience in working in sensitive environments thanks to its involvement with projects at Olympic Park. The Misting Masts project had particular requirements in regard to the Green and Golden Bell Frog, and all projects were subject to silt run-off.
