Gartner Rose are delighted to announce the safe and successful completion
of the roofing and ceiling cladding at the Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre in
Lidcombe for Cockram Constructions.
Scope of works:
3000m2 of Insulated panel roofing installed over the
grandstand and main pool hall. Aluminium sheeting was used due to the
harsh chlorine environment.
900m2 of aluminium "waveline" profile roofing including
aluminium purlins to the existing manager's residence, kiosk, admin
500m2 of aluminium LT7 to the plant rooms and other
Aluminium ½ round gutters and downpipes were used in conjunction
with aluminium box gutters.
Inside the main pool hall and program pool hall Gartner Rose
installed stainless steel cleats to the main heavy steel structure
and from this installed aluminium rolled purlins. This allowed the
installation of 1200m2 of aluminium 0.7 Waveline
perforated roof sheets. Martini board acoustic insulation was
installed behind the perforations. This allows the room to breathe
but absorbs much of the echo from pool activities. The entire area
had a birdcage scaffold deck built 1.8 meters below the ceiling line
because there was no access via machine inside the pool itself.
