Leumeah Station Upgrade

Due to the construction of the Southern Sydney Freight Line, modifications are required at Leumeah Station. The rail corridor will be widened (by others) to allow the new non-electrified freight line to be constructed on the western side of the existing tracks.

Gartner Rose has been appointed by the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) to construct the station upgrades.

The works at Leumeah Station will involve the extension of the pedestrian footbridge spanning over the South Sydney Freight Line, construction of new precast stairs, easy access upgrades including the installation of one lift and modification to the surrounding area to match the existing platform level.

Alterations to roads, pavements and kerbs, and adjustments to the existing car park will be done as part of general works.
