Picton Station Easy Access Upgrade
Gartner Rose is delighted to announce their appointment by RailCorp to design
and construct the easy access upgrade of Picton Station.
This follows on from the recent successful completion of the new lift at St James station, on time and with ZERO lost time injuries.
The contract duration is approximately 15 months, noting that the first three months will be dedicated to design.
The project involves the construction of two new sets of stairs, two new lifts and a new footbridge over the rail lines to allow pedestrian and disabled access from one side of the station to another.
The carpark will also be expanded and improved, the platforms will be resurfaced, new canopies will be built, and works in the station buildings include the fit out of a new ticket office and new family accessible toilet.
