Warwick Farm Station Easy Access Upgrade

Due to the construction of the Southern Sydney Freight Line, modifications are required at Warwick Farm Station. The rail corridor will be widened (by others) to allow the new bi-directional non-electrified freight line to be constructed on the Eastern (Down) side of the existing tracks.

Gartner Rose has been appointed by the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) to construct the required modifications to the stations, and simultaneously upgrade the station to Easy Access standards.

The works at Warwick Farm Station involve the construction and erection of a new precast pedestrian overpass footbridge. This footbridge will provide access between the eastern and western car parks, over the new SSFL and to both existing platforms. New stairs and 3 new lifts will be constructed.

Construction of a new awning will be located on the existing eastern platform south of the existing waiting room. The existing waiting room on the eastern platform will be demolished. Deflection walls shall be placed near the lift shafts to provide protection for the lifts. Platform barriers will be built on both existing platforms.

Existing eastern car park will be extended southwards. Kerbs and footpaths in the eastern car park will be realigned to allow easy and safe access to the newly constructed lift and stairs.
