Wyee Station Possession - 14th & 15th March (WE37)
134 persons worked a total of 1,262 hours to complete the works required over the shutdown weekend and the station was opened and ready for commuters by Monday morning.
The key activities undertaken over the possession weekend include but weren't limited to:
- Installation of new structural steel canopies and secondary steel screens to lifts one and two followed by fascia framing to the canopies
- Installation of canopy roofing, flashings, gutters and soffits
- Installation of the new concrete landing to the lift one stairs
- Installation of new distribution board
- 100m of platform stormwater and ACO drains was installed further to asphalting works
- Various electrical works
The temporary station waiting room was removed by crane off the platform
as the new waiting room is now ready for public use.
