Argyle & Cleland Bond Stores
The fire services upgrade to the historic Argyle and Cleland Bond Stores,
The Rocks was safely and successfully completed for Place Management NSW.
The heritage listed building, Argyle Stores, represents Sydney's
history with significant remains of one of the earliest buildings in
Sydney from c1826. The project was completed within a live environment
with minimal impact on the patrons of the restaurants, bars and places
of public entertainment, as well as the building tenancies.
Over 26 of weeks of construction, 6,672 hours were worked to complete
the scope of the works which entailed a complete wet and dry fire
system upgrade with associated works including new emergency and exit
lighting, building repairs, remediation works and installation of
signage. Much of this work was undertaken at night.
The project complements several of our other previous and current projects within The Rocks.
