Gartner Rose is delighted to announce the safe and successful project
completion for the Heritage Assets Project appointed by Sydney Water
Works included restoration across 5 heritage listed sites across Sydney
including Pump Station and Control Houses, the works involved were:
1) Ashfield Pump House-Heritage restoration of the
Sydney Water reservoir in Ashfield. Works included re-pointing
brickwork; glazing repairs, replacement of security screens,
construction retaining wall and associated drainage, replace roof
members and metal sheeting, installation new gutters and downpipes and
repair of internal ceiling lining boards.
2) Killara Reservoir - works included new roof
waterproofing, repair and repaint rainwater heads, repairing cracks to
masonry walls, repainting exterior surfaces, replacing damaged louvers
3) Kirribilli Sewer Pumping Station- works
included replacement of roof with new slate, sarking and timber
battens, installation of new gutters and downpipes, repainting all
elements, repair external cladding, re-pointing of damaged mortar
joints, replacement of eave soffit boards and other roof timbers.
4) Wahroongah Reservoir-Works included re-pointing of
brickwork, replacement of roof membrane, rebuilding of walls, reinstate
windows, new lintels and installation of new concrete roof.
5) 125 Corunna Rd, Stanmore-The site is a sewer vent
and cottage is heritage building. Works included demolition of
dilapidated rear section and replacement with a new contemporary
kitchen, hallway, dining room, laundry and bathroom. Other works
included a new rear skilion roof, new walls floor and ceiling French
doors and services reticulation. External works included replacement of
sandstone capping, backyard landscaping, cladding and restoration of
wrought iron fence.
