Artarmon Station Upgrade

Artarmon Station Upgrade

This design and construction project including two lifts, a footbridge from Hampden Road to the island platform, civil works around the station, an electrical upgrade and substantial high voltage electrical relocations.

The project had the unusual requirement to re-use an existing redundant footbridge, stored off site in a Sydney Trains yard. The design was required to make the most of the existing footbridge and build a structure to support it from outside the corridor to the island platform, whilst also constructing two self-supporting lift shafts and a deflection wall.

All works were safely completed during possessions, with the use of an innovative precast lift pit allowing one possession to be eliminated from the project.
