Hornsby Station Lift Replacement
This project involved dismantling and removing the existing lift and lift room equipment (fixtures, fittings and wiring) followed by the installation of a new 19 passenger lift. Works also included the fabrication and installation of structural steel within the existing lift shaft to accommodate the new lift, as well as new mechanical upgrades including a new fan, security fan box and associated electrical works including CCTV and lighting.
Further works included:
- Painting inside of lift shaft, including lift motor room refurbishment
- Waterproofing to the lift shaft roof, lift pit and existing lift motor room
- Installation of the new 19 passenger lift
- Supply and installation of emergency lighting to concourse and platform
- Fabrication and installation of new stainless steel door reveals
- Removal and replacement of asphalt to the platform for DDA compliance
- Fabrication and installation of new structural steel framework and glazed security window system for carpark and platform delineation
