Audley Amenities Upgrade

The Audley Amenities Upgrade consisted of two separate sites, Ironbark Flats and Allambie Flats.

Located within the Royal National Park, the two sites were located on opposite sides of Audley Weir. This presented a number of challenges, particularly during extremely wet weather which would result in the flooding of the weir, restricting access to the sites until the water levels settled. Audley Weir flooded a total of 19 times throughout the duration of the project.

ALLAMBIE FLATS

This project involved the demolition and replacement of the existing amenities building and carpark upgrades. The scope of works for Allambie Flats included demolition of the existing amenities building, exposed aggregate concrete slab and walls, exposed ironbark timber wall and roof structure, polycarbonate roof and wall sheeting, cast in situ concrete bench and basins, an upgrade of existing carpark and the construction of a new connection pathway between the boat shed and the amenities building.

IRONBARK FLATS

This project involved the refurbishment of an existing amenities building. The scope of works included the strip out of the interior structure, new interior layout, terrazzo toilet partitions, ceramic tiling, the installation of a new skylight in the existing roof, repairs to the existing sandstone exterior, replacement of the existing entry stairs and an upgrade to the access to an existing toilet block in an adjacent building to provide compliant wheelchair access.
