Audley Amenities Upgrade Project Completion

We are delighted to advise the safe and successful completion of the Audley Amenities Upgrade for NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment (DPIE) National Parks & Wildlife Services.

The upgrade consisted of two separate sites, Ironbark Flats and Allambie Flats. Located within the Royal National Park, the two sites were positioned on opposite sides of Audley Weir. This presented numerous challenges, particularly during extremely wet weather which would result in the flooding of the weir, restricting access to the sites until the water levels settled. Audley Weir flooded a total of 19 times throughout the duration of the project.

The scope of works for Ironbark Flats included the strip out of the interior structure, new interior layout, terrazzo toilet partitions, ceramic tiling, the installation of a new skylight, replacement of the existing entry stairs and an upgrade to the access to an existing toilet block in an adjacent building to provide compliant wheelchair access.

The scope of works for Allambie Flats included demolition of the existing amenities building, exposed aggregate concrete slab and walls, exposed timber roof structure and wall cladding, polycarbonate roof, cast in situ concrete bench and basins, an upgrade of existing carpark and the construction of a new connection pathway between the boat shed and the amenities building

Congratulations to everyone for bringing this project to a safe completion and a special thanks to the project team, subcontractors and suppliers.
