Award Win at the 30th Annual National Trust (NSW) Heritage Awards
The National Trust (NSW) Heritage Awards is an annual celebration of outstanding practice, awarding excellence in conservation of Aboriginal, built, natural and cultural heritage. Two of our recently completed projects were nominated by the NSW Department of Parliamentary Services, and subsequently shortlisted for the following categories:
- Category: Built Conservation
Project: Parliament of NSW Facades Restoration - Category: Interiors and Objects
Project: Parliament of NSW Chambers Restoration
We are thrilled to announce that the Parliament of NSW Chambers Restoration Project was announced as the winner for the Interiors and Objects category.
Penny Sharpe, Minister for Heritage, commended the winners for their dedication to conserving and promoting heritage in NSW, saying “these projects are vital in ensuring our special places and stories are enjoyed for generations to come”.
We would like to congratulate the NSW Parliament Capital Works Team on this momentous win and thank the Gartner Rose project team, subcontractors and consultants, especially Purcell Architects, for the safe and successful completion of this incredible project. This award is testament to the complex conservation and restoration works undertaken on this iconic heritage landmark.
Gartner Rose would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the winners of the National Trust of Australia (NSW) Heritage Awards.
