Mortdale Maintenance Centre Solar PV System Project Completion

Gartner Rose is delighted to advise the safe and successful completion of the Mortdale Maintenance Centre Solar PV System project.

The scope of work included, but not limited to:

• Installation of a 0.88MW solar PV panel system to the roof structure, consisting of nearly 2,000 solar panels
• Installation of additional walkways and static lines to facilitate access to the panels
• Installation of 800m of permanent safety rail to the perimeter of the roof
• Replacement of existing polycarbonate roof sheeting
• Construction of a new Inverter Station
• Design and construction of additional parking area

The power from the solar PV panel system was successfully fed directly into the Sydney Trains power network, a first of its kind. All works were completed in a live environment, with the Maintenance Centre remaining accessible and operational, with minimal disruption to staff and visitors, throughout the project.
