NSW Transport Minister Visits Chester Hill Site

NSW Transport Minister, The Hon. John Graham MLC, has visited our Chester Hill Station Upgrade site ahead of a significant project milestone that is scheduled to take place during this weekends track possession.

The delivery of new stairs and the removal of the old canopy to make way for an improved connected canopy marks a milestone in the redevelopment of this 100-year-old station. A new entrance and accessible lift will also be installed under the Safe Accessible Transport program, with the project on track for completion in mid-2026.

The heritage listed station has been in service since 1924 and and serves over 1,000 commuters daily.

The Minns Labor Government is delivering on its commitment to improve the travelling experience of train passengers. Member for Auburn, Lynda Voltz, said:

“Chester Hill is a community that relies heavily on its train network… I heard directly from young families with prams, carers, people with disabilities, older residents, and women and girls about how much this lift will change daily life.”
