Prairiewood Aquatic Centre Project Completion
Gartner Rose is delighted to announce the safe and successful completion of the roofing works at the Prairiewood Aquatic Centre for Bermagui Constructions.
To begin the project, the existing pool was drained and lined with plastic and ply. A ramp was then built with hardwood sleepers to allow EWP’s access for works to take place from inside the pool. 1,050m2 of existing aluminium perforated ceiling was stripped and edge protection was set up to allow the stripping of 1100m2 of existing Colorbond curved roof sheeting. Over one kilometre of purlins were then removed and replaced with new extra heavy coated purlins.
A 130 T crane was used to load the roof and the team installed new curved aluminium roofing including R3.2 heavy duty insulation and aluminium roof spacers. Following on from the roof installation new aluminium curved ceiling framing and new Waveline perforated aluminium sheeting including Martini board acoustic insulation was installed. To complete the new project, custom curved 18mm thick Palram insulated translucent skylights closed out the pool hall.
Congratulations to everyone for bringing this project to a safe completion and a special thanks to the project team, subcontractors and suppliers that have tirelessly helped throughout the project.
