Successful WE37 Possession Beecroft Station Upgrade

We are delighted to advise the effective utilisation of the WE37 track possession over the weekend of the 13th and 14th of March at Beecroft Station.

Over the possession weekend, 117 persons worked a total of 1,389 hours to complete the work required and the station was ready for commuters by Monday morning. As part of the key activities achieved during this possession, Gartner Rose undertook the installation of 2 new complete lift shaft structures, Lift 1 new lantern building extension, and Lift 1 new lantern building roof to the extension using a 400-tonne crane.

A fabrication compound was established prior to the possession within the commuter carpark to assemble these structures, allowing the completed structures to be lifted into position and installed during the possession. The existing lantern building roof (Lift 1) and the subway awning were demolished to allow for the installation of these new structures.

Further key activities achieved included:

  • Platform stormwater relocation
  • Bored piling for the new platform canopy (13 piles with sockets)
  • Demolition of the existing family-accessible toilet (FAT) facility

Congratulations and thank you to the Gartner Rose staff, Transport for NSW Project Team, our subcontractors, and suppliers for the effective utilisation of this possession at Beecroft Station, despite the very ordinary weather conditions.
