Beecroft Station Upgrade

The Design and Construct upgrade at Beecroft Station was delivered as part of the Transport Access Program (TAP). TAP aims to provide a safe and enhanced travelling experience for public transport commuters by delivering easily accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure. Within this program, the completed station works will improve the access of
the station for the community.

The upgrade included the installation of two new passenger lifts to provide access from Wongala Crescent to the pedestrian underpass and to the station platforms. Regrading was also undertaken to the existing path to provide an accessible pathway to the new lift.

Further key activities included:

  • The installation of a new platform canopy (46m long)
  • Improvements to footpaths and accessible parking
  • A new Family Accessible Toilet (FAT)
  • Power supply upgrade
