Cabramatta Station Upgrade
Gartner Rose was engaged to complete an easy access upgrade to Casula Station as part of the Sydney Southern Freight Line Station Modifications project.
This station was located in a very busy environment and also provided the main link between East and West Cabramatta. Works undertaken by Gartner Rose involved the following:
- Services search, pothole and documentation of existing services
- Two deflection walls under the existing and new station structures
- Structural modifications to the existing pedestrian footbridge overpass
- Installation of a new lift shaft and new stairs to Broomfield Street kerb level
- New Station Ticket Office located on the concourse level
- New awning structure to the existing down side platform
- Considerable modifications to streetscape at Broomfield Street, adjacent to the station entry
- Demolition of the existing public toilet block and ticket office
- New car parking adjacent to Broomfield Street and Railway Parade
