Victoria Cottage
This project involved restoration works and new additions to a Victorian double fronted facade residence designed by the architect Ambrose Thornley Junior (1844-1911). The cottage had remained unoccupied for the 30 years prior to works commencing.
Restoration works included, but weren’t limited to, the rendering and patching of cracked walls (internal and external), reinstallation of new windows throughout and the replacement of the existing corrugated iron roof with a slate roof.
Furthermore, the extension of the residence involved a new two storey dwelling with a kitchen, dining room, main bedroom, dressing room, two bathrooms, laundry, garden room, veranda and carport.
