Wollongong Major Works Base
Works completed at the Wollongong Network Base spanned across two separate areas, the Wollongong Regional Centre and the Wollongong Maintenance Centre of Excellence.
WOLLONGONG REGIONAL CENTRE
The scope of works included:
- A new 36m x 12m warehouse complete with six roller shutter doors
- Construction of new concrete slab and related foundations for new warehouse
- Subgrade and pavement preparation, including over 2,500m2 of new AC and concrete footpaths, plinths, hardstands, new concrete kerbs, gutters and a traffic island
- New perimeter fencing complete with electric sliding access gates
- New CCTV and access control including full provision of secure entry systems and intercom call points
- New lighting
- Major earthworks dealing with quantities of approximately 1000t of asbestos contaminated materials
- All stormwater and sewer trenching, pits and pipework
WOLLONGONG MAINTENANCE CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
The scope of works included:
- New Modular building for 100 staff
- Paths to perimeter of modular building
- 85 new carpark spaces and seven truck parking spaces
- Over 6,000m2 of asphalt
- All new perimeter fencing including 2no automatic sliding gates
- New lighting
- New CCTV and access control
- New chemical stores
