Me Mel Goat Island Remediation Demolition Project Completion
We are delighted to advise the safe and successful completion of the Me Mel Goat Island Remediation Demolition project.
This project involved the demolition and disposal of the Port Emergency Services Building including its contents (excluding the ground floor slabs), plus the access ramps between the building and upper walkway including gates.
Additional works included the internal hand stripout of the building to remove asbestos and lead dust under HAZMAT conditions.
All demolished materials were removed from the island by way of barge.
Congratulations to everyone for bringing this project to a safe completion, in a very challenging environmental location. We extend a special thanks to the project team, subcontractors and suppliers.
