
Project Award for Chester Hill Station Upgrade
We are delighted to advise that Gartner Rose has been appointed by Transport for NSW for the Design and Construction of the Chester Hill Station Upgrade project.
The scope of work will include, but not limited to:
- Design, procurement and installation of a new lift, new concourse and stairs to provide access to the station platforms from the overbridge
- Relocation of the existing taxi rank from Chester Hill Road to Wellington Road, including a new accessible waiting area for the relocated taxi rank, inclusive of seating and weather protection
- New canopies to station entrance, concourse, stairs and continuous coverage along platforms up to boarding assistance zones
- New canopy sections and upgraded accessible path of travel along Chester Hill Road, connecting the station entrance to the bus stop, new accessible parking space and accessible kiss and ride space, with the upgraded pathway extending to the relocated taxi rank
- Partial canopy replacement between the station entrance and the bus stop on Waldron Road
- Platform regrading and resurfacing including new tactile ground surface indicators to assist passengers with vision impairment and furniture relocation to provide clear accessible paths
- Ancillary work to existing customer facilities including furniture relocation, lighting, CCTV, wayfinding, accessible water refill, opal card readers, help points, public phone, hearing augmentation and bicycle hoops
- Improved amenities to provide a new family accessible toilet, a new unisex ambulant toilet, new SSER room and relocation of the staff toilet and cleaners room
- Upgrade to bus zones including new poles, new tactile indicators and bench seating
- Landscaping upgrades
- Power supply upgrades including new transformer
