Bombo Waste Water Treatment Plant Roofing
During 16 weeks of construction, 2,982 hours were worked to re-roof the administration, chlorination and chemical storage buildings at the Bombo Waste Water Treatment Plant, in order to maintain their operational performance.
The works involved the replacement of 842m2 of roof sheeting and the repairs of structural steel members, all whilst protecting the interiors of the buildings from water ingress. Marine grade aluminium roof sheeting was used given the extremely harsh conditions faced by this facility.
Further works included:
- Construction of a fire separation wall
- Replacement / repair of all damaged steel and timber framing
- Replacement / repair of eaves and soffits
- Replacement of the roller door and glazed entry door
All works were undertaken without impacting the operation of this critical infrastructure for Sydney Water.
