Naala Nura Lower Level 3 Courtyard (current)
This project will involve the construction of an intimate scaled outdoor space within the Naala Nura Lower Level 3 Courtyard, adjacent to the Art Gallery Society lounge and the library. The scope of works will include, but not be limited to:
- Removal of the existing metal palisade fence concrete hob wall and vehicle access ramp
- Demolition and removal of the existing pavers and site clearing
- Construction of a new precast concrete wall, which will also act as an acoustic barrier and with an opening to connect to the existing mechanical air intake vent
- Supply and installation of a new brass clad pivot gate into precast wall to provide external access to the Domain
- Extension of the HVAC system air intake plenum into the new precast wall
- Adjustments to the mechanical services including filter wall replacement
- External lighting, power and hydraulic services upgrades
- Relocation of two hydrant points
- Bollards and access controls to operate doors opening onto courtyard
- New CCTV security cameras to supplement the existing
- Construction of three plinths for later placement of sculptures from the Gallery’s collection
- New planted and irrigated garden areas
- New paved areas and associated drainage
