Successful WE01 Possession at Mortdale Maintenance Centre
We are delighted to advise of the safe and successful utilisation of the WE01 possession at Mortdale Maintenance Centre, as part of the Solar PV System Installation project.
The scope involved craning 26 packs of skylight roof sheets and walkways onto the roof. Two sheets were replaced on the roof to test our methodology in preparation for works to commence the following Monday within a live environment.
IHS installed the perimeter handrail on the north elevation of the centre which is where the trains enter and exit. This was done to eliminate the risk of an item falling and clashing with a train in live working hours.
Throughout the possession, 14 workers attended site over two days with a total of 105 hours worked. The possession was completed with zero FAIs, MTI’s or incidents.
Congratulations and thank you to the Gartner Rose staff, Sydney Trains, our subcontractors and suppliers.
Michael, Marc and Daniel.
