
Successful WE04 Possession at Bardwell Park Station
We are delighted to advise the safe and successful utilisation of the WE04 possession at Bardwell Park Station, as part of the Bardwell Park Station Upgrade being delivered under the Safe Accessible Transport program.
As part of the WE04 possession, the following scope was undertaken:
- Excavation and disposal of 350T of spoil material off site
- Excavation of lift pit and installation of prefabricated shoring box
- Completion of 9 no. 650mm-750mm diameter reinforced concrete piles, each 14 metres deep, on the island platform
- Excavation, form, install prefabricated reinforcement cages and pour 38m3 of concrete ground beams and pedestals – country end of the platform
- Hoarding reinstatement – city end of the platform
- Hoarding installation – country end of the platform
- Temporary services: CCTV, lighting and speakers to hoarding
Throughout the possession, 112 workers attended site over the two days with a total of 2,180 hours worked.
Gartner Rose modified the planned possession methodology resulting in the removal of the need for a 400T mobile crane.
