Metcalfe Bond Stores

This project involved the restoration and refurbishment of the former Pancakes on the Rocks tenancy within the heritage listed Metcalfe Bond Stores.

During 32 weeks of construction, 12,600 hours were worked to complete the Lower Ground and Mezzanine Level building works to provide a functional space for future tenants to occupy.

The project saw the lower ground floor completed with new debonded polished concrete toppings, while the mezzanine levels were finished with recycled hardwood timber with new steel suspended stairs to connect the levels.

Further works included:

• New amenities to the levels
• Services upgrade throughout incl. detection and occupant warning system
• New glass sliding doors to the entrance of the building
• Complete perimeter glazing of the main stairway
