Waverton Coal Loader

Gartner Rose was appointed to construct, supply and install the glazed lift structure and raised steel platform as part of the Coal Loader Platform Green Roof project at Waverton on behalf of North Sydney Council.

The Greenroof project included community ‘urban harvest’ plots (vegetables, fruit trees, aquaculture) irrigated by recycled stormwater, a performance space, extensive seating and viewing area, as well as heritage interpretation of the original coal loading operations.
