Successful Completion of the Kogarah Station Lift Replacements
Gartner Rose are pleased to announce the safe and successful completion of the lift replacement project at Kogarah Station for Sydney Trains.
During 16 weeks of construction, including multiple possessions, 4,528 hours were worked to replace two lifts at Kogarah Station.
The project scope included the dismantling and removal of two existing lifts followed by the installation of two new fifteen-passenger lifts. Modification works to the existing lift shafts were undertaken to comply with new standards and accommodate the replacement lift cars including waterproofing, structural alterations and painting of surrounding surfaces. Internal and external cladding works were also undertaken to the lift shafts, further to new louvres. Associated services were upgraded with new mechanical installations, a complete electrical install including lighting and CCTV in addition to wet and dry fire upgrades involving new smoke detectors and sprinklers.
All works were completed four days ahead of the programme and complemented our recent lift replacement projects at Wyong, Strathfield and Central Stations, all for Sydney Trains.
Congratulations to everyone for bringing this project to a safe completion and a special thank you to the project team, subcontractors and suppliers.
