Heritage Assets Restoration
This project involved the restoration of five heritage listed sites across Sydney, including pump houses and control houses.
ASHFIELD PUMP HOUSE
Heritage restoration of the Sydney Water reservoir in Ashfield. Works included re-pointing brickwork, glazing repairs, replacement of security screens, construction of a retaining wall and associated drainage, replacement of roof members and metal sheeting, installation of new gutters and downpipes and the repair of the internal ceiling lining boards.
125 CORUNNA ROAD, STANMORE
The site is a sewer vent and the cottage is a heritage building. Works included demolition of the dilapidated rear section to be replaced with a new contemporary kitchen, hallway, dining room, laundry and bathroom. Other works included a new rear skilion roof, new walls, floor and ceiling, French doors and services reticulation. External works included the replacement of sandstone capping, backyard landscaping, cladding and restoration of a wrought iron fence.
KILLARA RESERVOIR
Works included new roof waterproofing, repair and repainting of rainwater heads, repairing cracks to masonry walls, repainting exterior surfaces, as well as replacing damaged louvers and glazing.
WAHROONGAH RESERVOIR
Works included repointing of brickwork, replacement of roof membrane, rebuilding walls, reinstating windows, new lintels and the installation of a new concrete roof.
KIRRIBILLI SEWER PUMPING STATION
Works included replacement of the roof with new slate, sarking and timber battens, installation of new gutters and downpipes, repainting all elements, repairing external cladding, repointing of damaged mortar joints, as well as the replacement of eave soffit boards and other roof timbers.
