Minto Station (Southern Sydney Freight Line)

Minto Station Upgrade


Gartner Rose was engaged to complete an easy access upgrade to Minto Station as part of the Sydney Southern Freight Line Station Modifications project.

The scope of works included:

  • Demolition of the existing stairs to enable the existing pedestrian footbridge to be extended over the South Sydney Freight Line
  • Construction of new precast stairs to the new span of the footbridge, providing access to and from the pedestrian footbridge and Somerset Street
  • Erection of three new lifts to enable easy access between the platforms, footbridge, Somerset Street and Minto Road
  • Construction of new in situ concrete stairs and ramps to provide access between the platforms, footbridge and Minto Road
  • Demolition of the existing ramp to the western side of the station
  • Construction of a new kerb line in Somerset Street
  • Construction of a new car park accessed from Wiltshire Street
