Schofields Prototype

This project involved the construction of two life size station models, an underground station and above-ground concourse, for official testing in the North West of Sydney. The scope of works for each included:

STATION CONCOURSE

Construction of 2 heavy duty framed pods which also includes partitions, linings, roofing, ceiling works, tiling, painting, fixtures and fittings to wet areas and joinery to SM room
Fabrication and installation of a structural steel lift shaft
Fabrication and installation of portal frames, awning and balustrade structures
Glazing to two lift shafts
Glazing to screens and balustrades
Installation of framing and glazing to main canopy
Roofing to main canopy and auxiliary roof
Installation of roof safety system to main canopy
Wayfinding install
Supergraphic installation
Paving works
Architectural hardwood timber soffit install
Electrical works (distribution boards and light fitting install)
Construction of three mock escalators
Installation of stacked door
Installation of pressed stainless steel (Rimex)

STATION PLATFORM

Fabrication and installation of structural steel
Wall lining throughout with a painted finish
Installation of heavy duty framing
Installation of architectural finishes (perforated wall and ceiling panels and baffle grid systems)
Construction of a mock timber lift shaft and escalator
Paving
Electrical works (distribution board and light fittings)
Wayfinding install
