Schofields Prototype
This project involved the construction of two life size station models, an underground station and above-ground concourse, for official testing in the North West of Sydney. The scope of works for each included:
STATION CONCOURSE
- Construction of 2 heavy duty framed pods which also includes partitions, linings, roofing, ceiling works, tiling, painting, fixtures and fittings to wet areas and joinery to SM room
- Fabrication and installation of a structural steel lift shaft
- Fabrication and installation of portal frames, awning and balustrade structures
- Glazing to two lift shafts
- Glazing to screens and balustrades
- Installation of framing and glazing to main canopy
- Roofing to main canopy and auxiliary roof
- Installation of roof safety system to main canopy
- Wayfinding install
- Supergraphic installation
- Paving works
- Architectural hardwood timber soffit install
- Electrical works (distribution boards and light fitting install)
- Construction of three mock escalators
- Installation of stacked door
- Installation of pressed stainless steel (Rimex)
STATION PLATFORM
- Fabrication and installation of structural steel
- Wall lining throughout with a painted finish
- Installation of heavy duty framing
- Installation of architectural finishes (perforated wall and ceiling panels and baffle grid systems)
- Construction of a mock timber lift shaft and escalator
- Paving
- Electrical works (distribution board and light fittings)
- Wayfinding install
- Supergraphic installation
