Wesley College Fitout and Lift Installation
Gartner Rose was appointed by Wesley College to undertake fitout and lift installation works to the heritage listed college.
The scope of works included, but not limited to:
- Fitout of the main wing roof space (Level 2) to create six new bedrooms, storage areas, study centre, small coffee lounge and additional showers and toilet amenities
- Construction of two new stairways from Level 1 to provide access to the new Level 2 roof space
- Installation of a new external lift, connected to the building by enclosed lobbies on each floor
- Main wing roof space decontaminated of hazardous lead dust and asbestos
- Construction of six copper dormers to serve the new bedrooms, along with a large dormer to the study area connected to a new outdoor terrace
- Implementation of firewall installations to compartmentalise the building
