Successful Possession at Central Station Northwest Vertical Transport

We are delighted to advise the safe and successful utilisation of the 4 x night possessions undertaken at Central Station for the North West Vertical Transport Project (NWVT) for Sydney Trains. During the Light Rail possessions, over 4 evenings a total of 232 hours were worked to achieve the anticipated scope for the NWVT Project, a key activity in the project’s programme.

Gartner Rose utilised the Light Rail Track possessions to undertake the removal of the existing escalators connecting the concourse to street level. The 2 existing escalators were removed in 2 sections each over the evenings. To undertake the removal of the escalators, Gartner Rose engaged a Light Rail Protection Officer (PICOW) to allow for the plant to be situated over the Light Rail track at the North West Corner.
