Jannali Station Upgrade
The project at Jannali Station involved Design and Construct upgrades to improve accessibility. This project saw the construction of two new lifts, a new pedestrian bridge, stairs and canopies, a family accessible toilet, undercover bicycle racks, improved interchange areas, improvements to the Oxley Avenue car park as well as a footpath to the station and upgrades to lighting and CCTV surveillance.
Late letting of this contract and the requirement to maintain the completion date meant an entire possession was no longer available for use. Gartner Rose worked closely with its designers and the client to re-programme the works and completely change the methodology to ensure that the final completion date was met. This was aided by significant off site construction of elements, and utilising massive resource loads during possessions.
The works were completed within a live environment without interrupting access to the station for passengers at any stage and being sympathetic to the heritage environment.
