WestConnex M5 Kingsgrove MOC1 Buildings
WestConnex is delivered by Sydney Motorway Corporation as a series of separate projects. The 33km motorway is to connect Sydney’s western and south-west suburbs with the Sydney CBD, Sydney Airport and Port Botany.
During 73 weeks of construction, over 60,000 hours were worked to complete the scope involving the construction of the Substation, Maintenance Facility Building, Bulky Goods Store, Fire Pump Building and Exhaust Vents building. Works for each building consisted of the following:
- Maintenance Building – Complete construction of the 1,300m2 building including mechanical and electrical services
- Bulky Goods Store – Complete construction of the 1,200m2 building including roofing and external cladding works, mechanical and electrical services
- Exhaust Ventilation Building – Construction and fitout of monitor rooms with external finishes
- Fire Pump Building – Roofing and internal fitout of the building, further to the installation of louvres, mechanical and hydraulic services
- Substation – Alucobond cladding to external facade further to insulation and mechanical services
