Metcalfe Bond Stores Project Completion
We are excited to announce the safe and successful completion of the restoration and refurbishment of the former Pancakes on the Rocks tenancy within the heritage-listed Metcalfe Bond Stores, The Rocks.
Over 32 weeks of construction, 12,600 hours were worked to complete the Lower Ground and Mezzanine Level building works to provide a functional space for future tenants to occupy.
The project saw the Lower Ground Floor complete with new debonded polished concrete toppings while the Mezzanine Levels were finished with recycled hardwood timber with new steel suspended stairs to connect the levels.
Further works included:
- New amenities to the levels
- A complete services upgrade throughout including a detection and occupant warning system
- New glass sliding doors to the entrance of the building from Hickson Road and George Street
- Complete perimeter glazing of the main stairway between Hickson Road and George Street
The project compliments our previous work completed within The Rocks including the services upgrade at Argyle and Cleland Bond, our lift and entrance upgrade project at the current Pancakes on the Rocks tenancy within The Rocks Centre and Campbells Cove Promenade Upgrade.
